I plan on filming a base housing how store so. I can show you what our house looks like here at Pendleton so. If you're interested in that please look out for that sometime next week so the next question is how long were. We married we had to go through our first separation separation. We I don't even know. Because we've been like separated so. Many times just from him like going to the field or long distance etc so as far as being separated like. It happens all the time. We actually. We got married. We were married and then.
We were together for two days after. We got married and then. He went back to his duty station and I went back home and we were long-distance an for about six months so our first two days of marriage. We were together and then the friends and the rest of those first six months of our marriage. We were completely apart so as far as like separation and stuff. That happens. All the time but as far as like deployment wise. We were together for about I guess like four years before. He had to deploy. I got really lucky and the unit. That he was in for the first like three years of our marriage was not deployable so. I didn't have to ever worry about him being deployed and then. We came to California and we're here for probably about a year and we found out. He was getting deployed and he just came back a year ago.
This month so he's been home for a year already and it literally does not seem like. It at all and anyway like the time has flown by since. He was out since he's been home but when. He was gone like oh my gosh time just drags on so yeah that's so crazy next question is what is my favorite base so far so. I have only lived at two bases the first. One that I lived out with my husband was Marine Corps Base Hawaii which I I don't. I don't know.
If it's my favorite. I don't really know. I have a favorite like before. We got married. I would always go visit my husband. He worked in North Carolina at Cherry Point and I we fell in love there. We met there. I have so much love for that place just North Carolina in general. Because that's where. We met and fell in love but Hawaii is where. I met my other soulmate my best friend in the entire world and I will always have a special place in my heart for that place. Because it you know. It gave me my my husband's like first house together our first Christmas like my. You know first best friend through the military and you know. We have talked literally probably almost every day since we've met and I don't. Even know who I would be today without her so.
That base as well and then California. I love California in general. I love living here Disneyland being so close to us is a huge loss but um but being here. I also got pregnant and gave birth to my son and his entire life has mostly been here in California and it's just there are so. Many good things about. Each place that I have been and lived in so far so. I don't know that I can say. I really have a favorite but yeah. I don't I can't pick. Because I love everywhere. That I have gone so far because of his career so yeah. I think my husband looks good in his uniform always every day of course there's never a day. He doesn't look goodness. You know boys question do. I like the benefits. I receive it as a military dependent uh they're the only reason. I married just kidding um do. I like them yes. I appreciate. Everything that I have and receive just because of my husband's job but there's with his job like. It I appreciate.
Everything that we get like healthcare and you know different things like. That but as far as his job. He also has to sacrifice a lot and is it worth. It to receive those benefits or would. More worth it to have had him home instead of across the world. He could have been home and seeing all of my sons. You know firsts the first time. He crawled the first time. He ate food and all of those things like there's benefits. When you're married to someone in the military but there's also so. Many sacrifices. That you have to make as far as like being separated and you know long hours and you don't really get to decide things. Because it's always being decided for you and I'm always appreciative of everything that we have and that we get because of his job but I also wish. That we that we didn't have to that we didn't. That we don't have to and that my husband didn't have to sacrifice so much just for those benefits so are. They worth it you know do.
