We didn't live together or anything he got promoted about two years ago and I went to his ceremony and I actually helped pin his new Chevron's on his uniform and that was the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done in my entire life it's just like. I felt so out of place and like why am. I doing this like. I feel like. I don't know what I'm doing and it was just so awkward and nerve-wracking like. I was just so nervous. Because they felt like I'm gonna do. Something wrong and like. All these people are here watching me it was so scary but I did. It and it was fine and um I'm pretty sure. If he's promoted again in the future.
That I would be there again -. I try to go to any like important things. That have to do with his job just to be there and support him so means a lot to me. That I was able to be there and that he asked. Me to help pin him. That day because. It was so a sweet gesture. That he asked. Me to do that and I felt very proud of him. That day so yeah. I always try to make. It to anything important like. That for his job okay next question. How long having been a military wife so. We have been married almost five years like. We said so almost five years coming up in June we'll be five so like for a little over four and a half did.
You marry him before or after. He joined like. It was after. He was already and when. We met and one like. He was about to actually get out of the military and he decided to stay in so um. He re-enlisted and then. We dated for about two years and then. We got married. How did he propose so the official proposal. He came to Arizona to visit. Me and he was gonna be spending probably like a week and a half in Arizona. He came out to meet my family. Because he never had before and it was his first time visiting me as opposed to me going to North Carolina to visit him so. He came out to visit. Me and he took. Me and my mom and my aunt on a trip to Disneyland he'd brought my mom and my aunt as well so.
That they could be there to see the proposal so. He took us to Disneyland and he proposed to me in front of the castle and that's probably it's kind of a long story so. That will be a story for another day. Another video kind of that pertains to me and my husband but um yeah. He proposed to me in front of my castle and it was like literally my dream proposal. Because I love Disneyland so much so. He gave me the perfect proposal and I would not change a thing about it so. How old were. You two you got married so. I was 21 years old. Me which is kind of funny. Because I was younger. I always said like. I always said like in my head like. I get married. I want to be 21 like. I feel like that's the perfect age. It was for some reason to me like.
That was the perfect age to just get married and start a life with. Someone and it just happened to turn out. That way that I was 21. We actually got married so. I always thought. That was kind of funny and my husband. I believe was 24 wait maybe. He was about to turn 25 he's like three and a half years older. Me so sometimes like before his birthday and after my birthday it'll be like it'll sound like we're four years apart. When it's really still three and a half and then. I don't know it's so confusing I have to like sit and think about it I pull out a calculator so bad with numbers so yeah um so. I think I was 21 and he was probably 24 about to turn 25 yeah.
That sounds right um so the next question is did. He wear his uniform on our wedding day and he did. He wore his dress blues and I wore a plain little ugly white dress from forever 21 and yeah. I had worn something else. That day but whatever so the next question is do. We live on base and yes. We do live on base. We always have um. I just feel. More comfortable living on base. Because if my like my husband has to leave. All the time. Whether it's him working long days or coming home late from work or having to go to the field. I always just have preferred to live on base. Because I feel a little bit safer as opposed to if. I were to live out in town and my husband was gone for two weeks straight. I don't know. I just for some reason. I just tend to feel a little bit. More safe living on base so. We have always lived on base um speaking of which this weekend.
